A natural contrast
Wood brings warmth and texture to a space. Alongside stone, glass, metal or concrete, a wooden light offers a quiet, natural counterpoint. Its light changes not only the brightness of a room, but the way its surrounding materials are perceived.
Every grain tells a different story
No two pieces of wood are alike. Grain, knots and natural irregularities give a light its own expression. As light falls across these textures, it reveals depth, shadows and detail.
More than a light source
At STUGA DESIGN, objects emerge from the meeting of craft, material and sculptural form. They are made to have a presence in daylight, too. In the evening, warm light draws out the tones of the wood and creates a different, quieter atmosphere.
An object that changes
A light sculpture reveals a new side with each viewing angle and time of day. Its form stays the same; its presence changes. For me, that is the particular fascination of wood and light.
